HOW IT WORKS
- A set of files are placed on your computer that let you identify what you’d like backed up. One of our support representatives can walk you through this from start to finish.
- The files are executed nightly and the information you selected to be backed up is transferred from your computer over the Internet to our servers. The information is sent using a technology called sFTP, which stands for Secure File Transfer Protocol. This is important because as your information is out on the Internet between your system and ours, it is encrypted so nobody can tamper with it or intercept it. Once the file transfer is complete, the line of communication between our server and your computer is closed, preventing any security concerns.
- Once the files are on our server, they are readily accessible at any time in case you need to retrieve them. It couldn’t get much easier than that!
