We’ve all heard that social media and blogging are the newest, virtually cost-free tools to market your business through teaching and building trust. But there are some of us who aren’t comfortable with writing. If this is you, we’ll cover a couple alternative tools which still help you build trust–your way!
Video Blogging
Are you more comfortable with your speaking skills, video blogging may be the way to go, and it’s relatively low cost. All you need is an inexpensive video camera, such as this high definition Flip Cam for only $169. It comes with software to quickly post your video message to YouTube and other sites in juts a matter of clicks. Then, you can use it in your blog. There are also other sites such as Viddler and Blip.TV if you find YouTube too big a pond.
With video blogging, you don’t have to write–you just speak what’s on your mind with the added benefit that your audience gets an even better look at your personality.
Podcasting
If you’re uncomfortable with writing and maybe the way you look on camera, then podcasting may be for you! With a headset and some recording software such as the free Audacity, you can record your thoughts for others to subscribe to on your blog and even on iTunes.
In Summary
Teaching the world what you know to establish credibility and trust is a must to get places in business online. There are plenty of ways to go, so do it your way. If you’re not doing it, go do it.
